About the role#
This is a paid, full-time, 40-hour per week internship program designed to prepare you for a career in store leadership. You will gain a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role by working alongside a mentor and other managers to understand how our retail business functions. You will spend your time on the sales floor and in the backroom, learning how to lead teams and drive store performance.
What you'll do#
- Lead and motivate team members to achieve daily business goals.
- Work with your mentor to understand their leadership responsibilities.
- Address team member concerns and remove operational hurdles.
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by ensuring team members are knowledgeable and helpful.
- Participate in all internship program training activities and developmental sessions.
- Review business reports and guest insights to identify and troubleshoot areas for improvement.
- Assist with daily operations, including stocking shelves, building displays, and maintaining a safe environment.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in retail management.
- Leadership skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication skills and a welcoming, helpful attitude.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing ladders and lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds.
- Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
