About the role#
As a Student Worker Lead, you will supervise, train, and manage food operations at the University of Louisville. You will direct daily activities, ensure food is prepared according to quality standards, and support the team to maintain efficient service. This role requires flexibility to handle various operational tasks and fill in for absent staff when needed.
What you'll do#
- Create and manage work schedules and production records.
- Direct daily operations and supervise staff to encourage teamwork and efficiency.
- Train and mentor other food service workers.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Conduct weekly inventory counts and prepare orders to support production.
- Oversee catering events to ensure timely preparation and delivery.
- Perform equipment maintenance checks and log findings.
- Assist with cashier duties and public relations as required.
What you'll need#
- You must be a student at the Aramark location.
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
- Completion of a sanitation course, either before or during your first year.
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic.
- Ability to maintain emotional control during stressful situations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Availability to work occasional nights and weekends for catered events.
