About the role#
This student worker position supports food service and catering operations at the UTSA JPL campus. You will gain experience in food preparation and customer service while working directly with our team on site.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and assemble food items using standardized recipes.
- Serve food to customers and anticipate their needs to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with guests and co-workers.
- Store food products according to safety standards.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations.
- Replenish food items and keep products stocked.
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must hold or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to meet physical demands like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing or walking for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment as required.
