About the role#
This student worker position supports food service and catering operations on campus. You will work directly with our team to prepare meals and serve guests. The role is open to students, particularly those studying Nutrition, who want to build skills in a professional kitchen environment.
What you'll do#
- Follow standardized recipes to prepare and build food items.
- Set up workstations like prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
- Replenish food items and ensure everything stays stocked.
- Serve food to customers and focus on guest satisfaction.
- Clean, sanitize, and break down workstations after use.
- Store food according to safety standards.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must hold or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous experience in food service is preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment as required.
