About the role#
This position offers students an opportunity to gain experience in food service and catering at Bethany College. You will work on-site in a role that involves food preparation, station management, and direct customer service. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes and directions.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations like prep tables, service counters, and hot wells.
- Store food items according to safety standards.
- Serve food to customers and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Follow safety policies and ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must have or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or Personal Protective Equipment as required.
- This role is open to students, with a preference for those majoring in Nutrition.
