About the role#
As a Student Worker for Food Service or Catering, you will support campus dining operations. This role focuses on food preparation, service, and maintaining safety standards in a campus environment. It is a paid, on-site position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Store food products according to company standards.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables, service counters, and steam tables.
- Clean and sanitize workstations after use.
- Serve food to customers and anticipate their needs.
- Replenish food items to ensure proper stock levels.
- Maintain a positive demeanor with guests, clients, and co-workers.
- Follow safety policies, including food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must hold or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical demands, which may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or Personal Protective Equipment as required.
