About the role#
This is a student worker position focused on food service and catering at Texas State University. You will work on-site to help with food preparation and guest services. This role is open to students across various majors, including Business Administration, Nutrition, Civil Engineering, Psychology, and Communications.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Store food according to safety standards.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations.
- Serve food to customers and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Replenish food items to keep stock at appropriate levels.
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies.
- Maintain a positive demeanor with guests and coworkers.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or required personal protective equipment.

- Location: San Marcos, Texas.
- This is a paid, on-site, full-time position with a rolling start date.
