About the role#
This is a paid, full-time student worker position at the 3rd St Market on the Purdue campus. You will work on-site during the Summer 2026 term. We welcome students from majors including Nutrition, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, and Psychology.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items by following standardized recipes and directions.
- Store food properly according to safety standards.
- Serve food to customers and focus on guest satisfaction.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables and service counters.
- Clean and sanitize workstations after use.
- Replenish food items to keep stock at appropriate levels.
- Follow all company safety policies and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing or walking for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment as needed.
