About the role#
As a Student Worker Barista at Southeastern Louisiana University, you will prepare beverages and serve customers in a campus setting. This role involves maintaining the coffee bar, managing transactions, and ensuring the workspace stays clean. You will work on-site in a position suited for students in Business Administration.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and serve coffees, teas, and specialty beverages according to brand standards.
- Operate the register and POS system to process cash and credit card transactions.
- Set up and break down the coffee bar and service stations.
- Clean and sanitize your work area throughout your shift.
- Stock beverage coolers, grab and go items, and service ware.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for food and beverage products.
What you'll need#
- Basic math and counting skills for cash handling.
- Ability to read and communicate in English.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Completion of Food Handling Certification as required.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
