About the role#
This internship supports the alcohol service compliance program during athletic and special events. You will work with managers and event staff to ensure that beverage operations follow company policies, university regulations, and state laws. The role involves a mix of administrative tasks and on-site event support.
What you'll do#
- Monitor alcohol service compliance and ensure staff hold the required licenses.
- Complete compliance paperwork for every event.
- Create and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets.
- Track daily catering events to ensure on-time delivery.
- Fill in for absent employees as needed.
- Communicate with staff and attend food service meetings.
- Perform cashier duties when necessary.
What you'll need#
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress and resolve interpersonal situations.
- Completion of a sanitation course, either before or during your first year.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration or Operations Management.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
- You must be available to work occasional night and weekend catered events.
