About the role#
Android Industries is looking for an Operations Intern to work on-site at our Roanoke facility. This position provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will gain exposure to production processes, team member development, quality standards, safety protocols, and continuous improvement projects.
What you'll do#
- Support daily manufacturing operations and work with teams across the facility.
- Assist with team member onboarding, training, and the creation of training materials.
- Track performance and training requirements using the Versatility Matrix.
- Support audits and compliance activities, including PVS, SOT, and 5S.
- Identify and resolve gaps in operational documentation while maintaining accurate records.
- Participate in 5S activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to company and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, and employee engagement activities.
- Use data to solve problems and improve operational performance.
- Build positive working relationships across the organization.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Operations, or a related field.
- Completed at least one year of college coursework.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Previous work experience in manufacturing or operations is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others.
