About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern with the Technology Enterprise Solutions team, you will support the technology used by Research & Development and Supply Chain departments. You will work alongside engineers and business experts on projects that impact global product development. This role focuses on applying AI and data analytics to improve testing, validation, and lab efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Analyze current testing and validation processes to identify and reduce manual, repetitive tasks.
- Collaborate with developers on coding, testing, and experimentation.
- Build a scalable AI-enabled prototype to streamline validated testing.
- Use lab data to analyze sample turnaround times and identify potential delays.
- Use AI and data analytics to simplify and standardize R&D test data across platforms.
- Develop technical documentation and present your findings using Excel and PowerPoint.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student who will have completed junior or senior year by the start of the internship.
- Must remain academically active throughout the internship, with an anticipated graduation date between August 2027 and April 2028.
- Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience with AI tools for automation, analysis, and insights.
- Foundational programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#/.NET.
- Basic SQL and data querying abilities.
- Ability to manage deliverables independently and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
- A collaborative and feedback-oriented mindset.

- Location: Ada Township, Michigan.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (Onsite Monday through Thursday, with Friday as a remote optional day).
- Status: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: Paid position.
