About the role#
The Global Procurement team offers interns hands-on work that impacts the business. You will partner with procurement professionals and stakeholders across multiple functions and regions to gain exposure to the broader Amway Supply Chain organization. This role focuses on collaboration and professional development while contributing to strategic initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Support sourcing, supplier management, spend analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
- Analyze data and evaluate opportunities to develop recommendations for strategic business goals.
- Conduct strategic bids and develop a global Supplier Segmentation process.
- Perform cost analysis for specific spend categories and provide improvement recommendations.
- Negotiate spend with suppliers and implement or expand stocking programs.
- Use analytics to provide business insights.
What you'll need#
- Completion of junior year by the start of the internship.
- Academic background in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Operations Management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with SharePoint, ERP systems like JDE, and familiarity with AI tools are preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based in Ada Township, Michigan.
- This position follows a hybrid schedule, requiring in-person attendance Monday through Thursday, with Friday as a remote-optional day.
