About the role#
As a Data Scientist Intern, you will join a team focused on high-impact problems across healthcare, supply chain, and finance. You will receive mentorship from experienced practitioners while contributing to statistical and machine learning projects. This role provides hands-on experience in framing business problems, applying technical solutions, and communicating findings to various audiences.
What you'll do#
- Explore, clean, and prepare structured datasets from internal and external sources.
- Build, test, and validate statistical and machine learning models under senior guidance.
- Support data pipeline development, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Assist with model deployment, testing, and monitoring in production environments.
- Create documentation that communicates methodology and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and analysts to meet project milestones.
- Follow team standards for code quality, version control, and responsible data use.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and pursue continuous learning.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Foundational programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Understanding of core statistical concepts like regression, hypothesis testing, and probability.
- Introductory knowledge of machine learning techniques.
- Experience preparing and working with data through coursework, projects, or internships.
- Familiarity with version control concepts such as Git.
- Preferred: Experience with applied analytics or data science projects.
- Preferred: Exposure to healthcare, pharmaceutical, supply chain, or logistics domains.
- Preferred: Exposure to cloud-based data platforms or analytics ecosystems like Databricks or Azure.
