About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the insurance industry. You will work across multiple compliance disciplines, including regulatory affairs, employment compliance, privacy, and ethics. Throughout the summer, you will engage with business leaders, attend departmental meetings, and participate in professional development sessions.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to Corporate Compliance programs that support integrity and risk management.
- Conduct regulatory research, policy analysis, risk assessments, and data reporting.
- Partner with Human Resources on ethics and conduct policies.
- Collaborate with the Legal team on regulatory interpretations.
- Assist IT with data privacy and security compliance.
- Present your research findings to leadership.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives across the organization.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university with junior standing or higher.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Human Resources, Political Science, Risk Management, Public Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, research, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated professionalism, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others.
Location & details#
- Location: League City, Texas (On-site).
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 24 to August 6, with an optional extension to August 13).
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
