About the role#
This Legal Intern position offers hands-on experience for a law student interested in corporate, insurance, and in-house legal practice. You will work directly with in-house attorneys and receive guidance from an assigned mentor. This role is part of a larger cross-functional summer internship program.
What you'll do#
- Support legal research and analysis across corporate, insurance, reinsurance, employment, and compliance matters.
- Draft, review, and update legal and business documents, such as non-disclosure, vendor, and reinsurance agreements.
- Collaborate with teams including Finance, HR, IT, Tax, and Broker Services.
- Develop internal policies, procedures, and legal training materials.
- Support legal technology initiatives by testing and training on contract management systems.
- Contribute to materials that explain how new captives are formed and operated.
- Gain exposure to investment-related agreements and policies through interactions with leadership.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor’s degree and current enrollment in an accredited law school.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong critical, commercial, strategic, and practical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- A team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently.
