About the role#
This internship provides experience in the insurance industry through project work, leadership exposure, and business education. You will work within the Actuarial department to support valuation processes and technical tools. The program runs from May 24, 2027, to August 6, 2027, with an optional extension until August 13.
What you'll do#
- Support Annuity and Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) valuation.
- Gain exposure to PRT and Single Premium Immediate Annuity (SPIA) tools.
- Complete hands-on, role-related projects.
- Participate in learning and relationship-building opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university with junior standing or higher.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Completion of at least one actuarial exam.
- Coursework in mathematics or other quantitative fields.
- Experience with programming, such as R, Python, Excel, or Access.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems, analyze data, and make decisions.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
