About the role#
This internship supports the technical functions of the Enterprise Data & Innovation department at American Fidelity. You will work on-site in Oklahoma City for a term beginning in January 2027. This is a paid, full-time position intended for students graduating in May 2027 or later.
What you'll do#
- Support data integration and database design projects.
- Perform software programming, testing, and data scrubbing.
- Develop business intelligence tools and predictive models.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Document system administration and business processes.
- Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to share your findings.
- Collaborate with your manager, department team members, and other interns.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Business Administration.
- Basic knowledge of data modeling.
- Experience with statistical programming tools like R, SAS, or Python.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Qlik, PowerBI, or Tableau.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Productivity Suite.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to analyze and document technical and business processes.
- A history of innovative or entrepreneurial efforts.
