About the role#
Industrial Engineers at American Express function as internal business consultants for our servicing and operations groups. You will identify process improvement opportunities to enhance customer experiences while reducing costs. This role involves collecting data, analyzing insights, presenting recommendations to senior leadership, and deploying system improvements. You will coordinate across various departments, including Technology, Finance, Risk, and Marketing.

What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Ability to perform root cause and quantitative analysis.
- Understanding of continuous process improvement and problem-solving methodologies.
- Knowledge and exposure to common software such as Excel and SQL.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Results-driven mindset with the capacity to manage projects end-to-end.
