About the role#
As a Merchandising Intern, you will partner with a Merchant for 10 weeks to learn how to create and manage product assortments. You will gain insight into the full lifecycle of a product, from initial concept through to the final customer purchase. This role is for those who enjoy retail trends and have strong analytical skills.
What you'll do#
- Prepare daily sales recaps and analyze performance trends to inform business decisions.
- Conduct competitor analysis and comp shopping to identify market trends.
- Support sample trafficking using internal systems and coordinate with relevant teams.
- Present milestone projects and a final project with your insights to Merchandising leadership.
- Participate in classroom learning, team meetings, and executive roundtables.
What you'll need#
- Rising Senior at a 4-year college or university pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Ability to complete a project and pass an Advanced Retail Math Test during the interview process.
- Strong business acumen and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and problem solve.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- The program runs during the Summer of 2027.
- Candidates must be local to the Pittsburgh home office for the duration of the 10-week program.
