About the role#
American Crystal Sugar Company offers a Co-Op program for engineering students to gain experience in a business setting. You will participate in engineering-related tasks across various phases of our operations. This is a full-time position running from January through August.
What you'll do#
- Engage in engineering-related work during different stages of business operations.
- Gain exposure to industrial engineering processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Manage tasks independently while maintaining clear communication with your team.
What you'll need#
- Junior status in a Bachelor’s program for Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to commit to the full-time program from January through August.
- Strong independent initiative and effective time management skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
Location & details#
- Locations: Moorhead, East Grand Forks, and Crookston, Minnesota; Drayton and Hillsboro, North Dakota.
- Schedule: Full-time. Typical hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with summer hours generally 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Compensation: $24.00 per hour.
- Benefits: The company covers required co-op credits and fees. You earn 1 hour of sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year. You also receive pay for company-observed holidays.
