    About the role#

    American Crystal Sugar Company offers an engineering co-op program designed to provide students with hands-on experience in a business setting. You will work full-time across various phases of our business operations. This position is intended for junior-level students looking to gain practical experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.

    What you'll do#

    • Participate in engineering-related tasks and projects throughout the business operation.
    • Work full-time hours, typically between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM depending on the season.
    • Engage with professional engineering teams to support daily operations.

    What you'll need#

    • You are currently a junior in a Bachelor’s program for Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
    • A minimum GPA of 3.0.
    • Ability to commit to the full-time program from January through August.
    • Strong independent initiative and organizational skills.
    • Clear communication abilities.

    Location & details#

    • This is an on-site role located in Moorhead, East Grand Forks, or Crookston, Minnesota, or Drayton or Hillsboro, North Dakota.
    • The program runs from January 2027 through August 2027.
    • We cover required co-op credits and fees.
    • You will earn one hour of sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked.
    • This position is paid at a rate of $23.50 per hour.
