About the role#
This is a 6-month internship supporting the Missile Defense Agency on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions contract. You will work on-site at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs. This is a full-time position that involves day shift hours and occasional travel.
What you'll do#
- Provide front line technical support to customers via phone, email, and in-person.
- Create, assign, and track service request tickets to ensure timely resolution.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate Client System Administrator or senior team members.
- Maintain and manage the queue of incident requests.
- Assist the team with Tier 2 and 3 break-fix efforts.
- Manage hardware disposition, including asset sanitization, excessing equipment, and hard drive destruction.
What you'll need#
- 1 or more years of general full-time work experience.
- Experience working with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
- Ability to lift at least 35 lbs.
- An active DoD Secret Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
- A DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification, or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of your start date.
- Preferred qualifications include CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications, along with experience in audio-visual systems, Virtual Desktop Environment support, Active Directory, Group Policies, DHCP, and DNS.
