About the role#
The Amentum Space Exploration Division Guidance, Navigation, and Control team designs and integrates systems for projects ranging from CubeSats to the Space Launch System. This internship supports the Human Lander System Program to help send humans to the Moon. You will work alongside leads and other engineering disciplines to ensure mission success.
What you'll do#
- Develop, modify, and maintain software simulations, tools, and scripts.
- Create, edit, and debug software using MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape Multibody.
- Model, simulate, and analyze launch vehicle and spacecraft dynamics and performance.
- Support the verification and validation of technical products.
- Prepare and present technical reports and briefings.
What you'll need#
- Completion of sophomore year of university studies with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- BS degree in engineering, science, math, computer science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming with MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape Multibody, or C/C++.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong problem solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and access to an automobile.
