About the role#
The AWS Center for Quantum Computing is a multi-disciplinary team focused on developing a fault-tolerant quantum computer. Interns work alongside global experts to tackle research problems and develop scalable solutions. You will have access to infrastructure and mentorship to support your technical growth.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement scalable solutions to advance quantum computing.
- Tackle complex research problems using leading-edge technology.
- Focus on targeted customer use-cases and launch products that solve problems for Amazon customers.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a PhD program.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week for a maximum of 12 weeks.
- Ability to relocate to the internship location.
- Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python or R.
- Publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
- Familiarity with areas including superconducting qubits, cavity/circuit QED, quantum optics, open quantum systems, superconductivity, electromagnetic simulations, microwave engineering, benchmarking, quantum error correction, or fabrication.
