About the role#
The AWS Center for Quantum Computing is a multi-disciplinary team focused on developing a fault-tolerant quantum computer. This internship provides an opportunity to work alongside global experts, utilize state-of-the-art infrastructure, and contribute to research that advances the field of quantum computing.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement scalable solutions to advance quantum computing.
- Tackle challenging and groundbreaking research problems.
- Work with leading-edge technology and focus on targeted customer use-cases.
- Launch products that solve problems for Amazon customers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a PhD program.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week for a maximum of 12 weeks.
- Ability to relocate to the internship location.
- Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python or R.
- Publications in top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
- Familiarity with areas such as superconducting qubits, cavity/circuit QED, quantum optics, open quantum systems, superconductivity, electromagnetic simulations, microwave engineering, benchmarking, or quantum error correction.
- Academic background in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or Biomedical Engineering.
