    About the role#

    This is a full-time, paid internship for students interested in hardware engineering. You will join Amazon Robotics teams to work on real projects, learn from experienced engineers, and contribute to the development of robotics technology. These positions are available year-round with flexible durations ranging from 3 to 6 months or longer.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with other interns and Amazon engineers to complete project tasks.
    • Prototype and test new concepts or features.
    • Use Amazon engineering tools and internal processes.
    • Track the progress of your specific task deliverables.
    • Create and maintain design documentation.
    • Present your findings and project information to managers and engineering teams.

    What you'll need#

    • You must be at least 18 years old.
    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or higher degree in Engineering, Robotics, Physics, or a related STEM field.
    • Knowledge of hardware engineering fundamentals, such as mechanical, electrical, test, reliability, quality, failure analysis, or manufacturing.
    • Experience with hardware design, development, and testing.
    • Proficiency in at least one CAD technology, including AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, SolidWorks, CREO, BIM360, SketchUp, or KeyShot.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Previous technical internship or project experience is preferred.
    • You must have at least one academic term remaining in your studies after the internship concludes.

    Location & details#

    • This role is based on-site in North Reading, Massachusetts, or Westboro, Massachusetts.
    • Work schedule is typically Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week.
    • This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
