    About the role#

    As a Software Development Engineer Intern on our Robotics team, you will own the lifecycle of your code from design through deployment and operations. You will work on projects that influence fulfillment center technologies, including robotics, computer vision, and material handling equipment. This is a full-time position where you will contribute to scalable, distributed systems while working in an agile environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design and build innovative products.
    • Develop scalable solutions using cloud-native architectures and microservices.
    • Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
    • Maintain resilient distributed systems and contribute to technical documentation.
    • Use GenAI and AI-powered tools to improve development productivity.
    • Participate in operational tasks, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues.
    • Design and test software components that interact with robotics and fulfillment technologies.

    What you'll need#

    • You are 18 years of age or older.
    • You are pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
    • You have experience with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
    • You have a foundational understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
    • You have experience from previous technical internships or project work.
    • You have familiarity with cloud platforms, database systems, version control, and the software development lifecycle.
    • You have interest or experience in areas such as Robotics, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Optimization, Motion Planning, or Autonomous Navigation.
    • You possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.

    Location & details#

    • This role is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
    • This is an on-site, full-time position requiring up to 40 hours per week.
    • The role is paid, with an annual salary of 100,810.00 CAD.
    • We are looking for candidates who have at least one academic term remaining after the internship concludes.
