About the role#
Altera is looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join our research and development facility in Toronto. You will work on technical challenges and contribute to delivering IP solutions that impact our customers. This is a full-time position for students looking to gain experience in a professional engineering environment.
What you'll do#
- Develop quick engineering solutions for complex technical problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver IP solutions.
- Contribute to projects within a multi-site team setting.
- Prioritize tasks independently while maintaining a focus on quality and accurate results.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 3 months of experience or coursework in one or more of the following: C/C++, Python, digital logic, FPGAs, or Verilog.
- Strong technical and communication skills.
- Ability to work well independently and solve problems in ambiguous situations.

- Compensation: $95,000 to $100,000 CAD.
