About the role#
This is a 12-week full-time internship based at our headquarters in Carmel, Indiana. You will spend your summer gaining hands-on experience by supporting process improvement initiatives and working on projects within the underwriting department. The program concludes with a presentation of your findings and recommendations to RMO leadership.
What you'll do#
- Review and document underwriting workflows to identify gaps and suggest improvements.
- Conduct quality assurance audits of compliance data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collect and analyze metrics to help build reporting tools or dashboards for leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and communicate corrective actions.
- Maintain QA documentation and contribute to ongoing operational improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program.
- Pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
