About the role#
As a Pharmacy Student Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or preceptor to provide patient care and support pharmacy operations. This part-time, paid position is available on a rolling basis for students pursuing a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
What you'll do#
- Perform all duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist or preceptor.
- Manage the prescription filling process in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Consult with customers and health care professionals regarding drug therapy, prescription knowledge, and health products.
- Participate in clinical services, including immunizations, vaccinations, and disease state management.
- Implement company initiatives to support pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license, if required by the state of employment.
- Ability to work as part of a team and cooperate with others.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in schedule and work priorities based on business needs.
