About the role#
Airbus Helicopters is seeking a long-term, multi-semester intern to join the Quality Engineering team in Grand Prairie, Texas. You will contribute to the safety and efficiency of our aircraft assembly and maintenance operations by supporting data analysis, process improvements, and production studies.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Quality team with lean manufacturing, six sigma, and innovation projects.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts.
- Analyze production and repair station data to identify areas for improvement.
- Update visual management schemes and performance metrics.
- Document 5S scores, housekeeping audits, and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) levels.
- Support compliance efforts related to NAS 412 standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Associate’s degree program for aerospace, engineering, or manufacturing.
- High school diploma.
- Must be currently located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and VBA is preferred.
