About the role#
The Enterprise Internship provides practical work experience for graduate students pursuing a career in healthcare administration. You will rotate through various site and system departments, gaining firsthand operational and strategy experience. This role supports the alignment of business objectives across designated units and allows you to contribute to meaningful projects under the guidance of system leadership.
What you'll do#
- Manage a diverse portfolio of healthcare projects and contribute to team initiatives.
- Collaborate with physicians, administrative colleagues, and allied health staff.
- Integrate functions of practice, education, research, and fiscal operations.
- Apply improvement methodologies, including data collection, analysis, and implementation.
- Lead or direct work within task forces and contribute to committee assignments.
- Assist in the development of programs, processes, and applications.
- Manage databases and prepare research materials or presentations.
- Participate in the system strategic planning process.
- Meet regularly with leadership to discuss project progress and career development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a graduate-level Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or a Master’s Degree in Business with a healthcare focus, preferably from a CAHME accredited program.
- A minimum grade point average of 2.5.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel.
- Effective multitasking, prioritization, and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks successfully.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A professional demeanor characterized by integrity, maturity, dependability, and a positive attitude.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Term: May 31, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday during business hours.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $23.00 per hour.
