    About the role#

    As a Game Engine Programming Intern at Beenox, you will join a team working on major titles like Call of Duty. You will contribute to the development, maintenance, and optimization of low-level technologies and proprietary game engines. This role offers hands-on experience in AAA game production, focusing on complex problem solving and technical performance.

    What you'll do#

    • Design, implement, and maintain game engine subsystems using C++.
    • Identify bottlenecks in CPU, GPU, and memory to optimize performance.
    • Diagnose, analyze, and fix complex technical issues and memory leaks.
    • Improve and automate internal tools and rendering or build pipelines.
    • Work with gameplay programming, art, and design teams to integrate new features.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a university program for Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
    • Strong grasp of C++ including memory management, pointers, data structures, and object-oriented programming.
    • Knowledge of low-level programming concepts, multithreading, and software engineering principles.
    • Experience with first-person shooter (FPS) games.

    • Location: Quebec, Quebec, Canada.
    • Term: Winter 2027.
    • Modality: On-site, five days per week.
    • This is a paid, full-time internship.
