About the role#
As a Student Business Development Team Lead, you will represent SpaceX and the Starlink Customer Acquisition Program. This field role focuses on sales, lead generation, and community outreach within an assigned territory near your campus. You will also take on a leadership component to support local recruiting, scheduling, and team coordination.
What you'll do#
- Own your territory by identifying households that may be a fit for Starlink.
- Plan routes and track your outreach efforts.
- Conduct door-to-door outreach to introduce Starlink services and hardware.
- Answer questions and help interested customers get started using your personal referral code.
- Find opportunities beyond the front door at farmers markets, community events, and local business partnerships.
- Grow your network by turning positive conversations into new introductions.
- Log activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the field app.
- Attend regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager.
- Support local recruiting, scheduling, and team coordination.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in school.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- A reliable personal vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a smartphone.
- You must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States.
- A self-motivated, dependable, and coachable personality.
- Comfort meeting new people and an eagerness to learn.

- Compensation: This is a paid position offering an hourly rate plus commission for qualified activations. You will receive paid training, mileage reimbursement, and a monthly cell phone stipend.
