About the role#
As a Student Business Development Team Lead, you represent Starlink in your local community. This is a field-based position where you will focus on sales, lead generation, and community outreach. Beyond individual sales, you will help coordinate local team efforts and support student recruiting. You will work as a W-2 employee of Mosaic, a part of the Acosta Group.
What you'll do#
- Own an assigned territory near your campus.
- Use broadband coverage maps and territory tools to identify households.
- Conduct door-to-door outreach to introduce Starlink service and hardware.
- Answer customer questions and assist them with using your personal referral code.
- Plan your own routes and track outreach progress.
- Attend local events, community connections, and civic groups to build awareness.
- Log your daily activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the field app.
- Participate in regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager.
- Identify strong student referrals and serve as a point of contact for your territory.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in school.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- A reliable personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and a smartphone.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- A self-motivated and coachable attitude.
Location & details#
- Location: Phoenix, Arizona.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Hourly base pay plus commission for qualified activations. You will also receive mileage reimbursement, a monthly cell phone stipend, and paid training.
- Program Timeline: Paid training begins the week of October 5, 2026, with field selling running from October 12 through the end of the year.
