About the role#
The Democratic Political Commentator Intern will contribute content from a liberal perspective for Modern Treatise. This role focuses on providing in-depth commentary on international developments and domestic political affairs. The position is a six-month, unpaid internship that offers the opportunity to gain professional writing experience.
What you'll do#
- Write a weekly column from a liberal perspective.
- Develop content related to Modern Treatise.
- Engage with political subject matter through research and analysis.
What you'll need#
- Political alignment with Senators Mitt Romney and Tim Scott, and House Representatives Young Kim and Mónica De La Cruz.
- An understanding of political philosophies beyond standard talking points.
- The ability to analyze political matters from multiple perspectives.
- A commitment to relying on fact-based evidence rather than political wish-thinking.
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Political Science, Journalism, or Communications.
Location & details#
- Modality: Remote.
- Term: Rolling, with a six-month duration.
- Residents of New York, Washington DC, San Francisco, and Chicago are strongly encouraged to apply, though location is not a requirement.
