About the role#
The Democratic Political Commentator Intern will produce content from a liberal perspective for Modern Treatise. This role focuses on writing a weekly column while engaging with diverse political philosophies and international and domestic affairs. This is a 6-month, unpaid, full-time internship.
What you'll do#
- Write a weekly column from a liberal perspective.
- Develop content that aligns with the editorial focus of Modern Treatise.
- Gain practical experience in political journalism and commentary.
What you'll need#
- Academic background in Political Science, Journalism, or Communications.
- Political alignment with Senators Mitt Romney and Tim Scott, and House Representatives Young Kim and Mónica De La Cruz.
- Ability to analyze political philosophies rather than relying on standard talking points.
- Proficiency in viewing political issues from multiple perspectives.
- Commitment to using fact-based evidence over political wish-thinking.
Location & details#
- This position is remote and operates on a rolling basis.
- Residents of New York, Metro Washington DC, San Francisco, and Chicago are strongly encouraged to apply, though location is not a requirement.
