About the role#
This is a 12-month, unpaid internship at A.N. Publishing. The role functions as a ranking site division editor, working directly under the publisher to oversee content production and contributor management. This position is fully remote.
What you'll do#
- Supervise three site contributors and manage up to eleven reporters.
- Guide contributors through the editorial process, from initial concept to completed, AP Style articles.
- Review, approve, and disseminate content that aligns with the target demographic.
- Cross-check citations and verify all references for accuracy.
- Manage staff-related information and meet production deadlines.
- Contribute original content to the site as needed.
What you'll need#
- Previous editorial or content management experience, or experience running a relevant site.
- Expert knowledge of AP Style writing format.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to oversee the development of social and political news features while presenting diverse perspectives.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with online content media platforms.
- Preferred: Current graduate students or college graduates in Journalism, English, Political Science, or related fields.
