International Editor (Internship)

About the role#

This is a 12-month, unpaid internship at A.N. Publishing. The role functions as a ranking site division editor, working directly under the publisher to oversee content production and contributor management. This position is fully remote.

What you'll do#

• Supervise three site contributors and manage up to eleven reporters.
• Guide contributors through the editorial process, from initial concept to completed, AP Style articles.
• Review, approve, and disseminate content that aligns with the target demographic.
• Cross-check citations and verify all references for accuracy.
• Manage staff-related information and meet production deadlines.
• Contribute original content to the site as needed.

What you'll need#

• Previous editorial or content management experience, or experience running a relevant site.
• Expert knowledge of AP Style writing format.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to oversee the development of social and political news features while presenting diverse perspectives.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with online content media platforms.
• Preferred: Current graduate students or college graduates in Journalism, English, Political Science, or related fields.

• This is a remote, unpaid internship with a 12-month duration.
• While the role is virtual, residents of New York, San Francisco, Washington DC, and Chicago are encouraged to apply.
• The position is available on a rolling basis.
