About the role#
Join the mechanical design team at 4AG Robotics for your Fall 2026 co-op term. You will contribute to the development and improvement of robotic systems for mushroom harvesting. This is a hands-on role where you will gain experience in a collaborative environment and see your work impact product performance and innovation.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate existing robotic products to find opportunities for enhancement, optimization, and innovation.
- Support the development of functional prototypes to test performance and validate design concepts.
- Translate high-level requirements into efficient and well-defined subsystem designs.
- Create clear, detailed product operational and safety procedures.
- Gather and incorporate feedback from engineers, designers, and stakeholders to refine mechanical designs.
- Assist in project planning and scheduling to ensure mechanical design tasks are completed on time.
What you'll need#
- Currently studying or have experience in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers.
- A safety-first mindset and attention to compliance with industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills to share design concepts, challenges, and solutions.
- Curiosity and drive to research and implement new ideas to enhance robotic systems.
- Technical experience with 3D CAD design, rapid prototyping, machine shop tools, and pneumatic systems.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with a monthly salary range of $4,333 to $5,373.
