About the role#
Zipline’s Program Management team ensures we meet company goals on time and within budget. You will work directly with engineers across our hardware teams to design, build, and test drones and ground infrastructure. This role involves defining team priorities and driving execution in a changing environment.
What you'll do#
- Identify and mitigate technical and program risks.
- Drive decision making and trade off studies.
- Define program timelines, milestones, and the critical path.
- Manage and support cross-functional teams across electrical, mechanical, and embedded software engineering.
- Drive prototype and test activities to validate next generation hardware.
- Report program updates to leadership.
- Manage infrastructure builds for test campaigns and track hardware allocations.
- Coordinate with teams to track incoming parts and quality.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering. Masters and PhD students are also eligible.
- Strong technical background.
- Excellent communication skills to explain challenges and solutions to engineers and non-engineers.
- Ability to drive clarity amidst chaos and ambiguity.
- Ability to align priorities, coordinate timelines, and lead complex trades.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in South San Francisco, California.
- The term runs from January to April or May 2027.
- You must be able to work in the office 5 days a week.
