About the role#
The Youth Guidance Direct Service Internship is a career development program for students pursuing work in counseling, social work, and non-profit fields. This role is designed to satisfy requirements for internship, practicum, or capstone credits. You will work on-site to provide direct, face-to-face service to youth in school-based settings.
What you'll do#
- Engage in direct, face-to-face interaction with clients.
- Run individual counseling sessions.
- Lead group counseling sessions based on your skill level and proficiency.
- Attend weekly supervision sessions.
- Participate in monthly team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Ability to meet the specific internship, practicum, or capstone requirements of your school program.
