About the role#
Youth Guidance offers a career development program for students interested in non-profit work, administration, counseling, and social work. This internship provides direct service experience to help you build skills for your future career. You will work in school-based settings, though some work may take place virtually or in the community.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct service to students.
- Run individual and group counseling sessions based on your skill level and proficiency.
- Participate in weekly supervision to discuss your work.
- Attend monthly team meetings.
- Provide support through virtual and community-based service methods when required.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- You must meet the requirements for an Internship, Practicum, Capstone, or similar course at your school.

- This role is located in Kansas City, Missouri.
- The position is on-site.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
