About the role#
Youth Guidance offers a career development program for students interested in non-profit work, administration, counseling, and social work. This internship provides onsite learning experiences designed to meet school requirements for Internship, Practicum, or Capstone credits. You will gain experience through direct, face-to-face client interaction in school-based settings, though some virtual or community-based service may occur.
What you'll do#
- Provide face-to-face client interaction.
- Run individual and group counseling sessions, depending on your skill level and proficiency.
- Participate in weekly supervision.
- Attend monthly team meetings.
What you'll need#
- You must be enrolled in a Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related degree program.
- You must meet your school's specific requirements for Internship, Practicum, Capstone, or similar coursework.
