About the role#
Young Life Military offers an internship for individuals interested in youth ministry at a military installation. You will work alongside an experienced staff member to support Club Beyond, an outreach program for middle and high school students. This role involves modeling a personal example of faith while building relationships with teens in a military environment.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with your supervisor to review ministry goals and team agendas.
- Lead and participate in Club Beyond club meetings and small group sessions.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan focusing on prayer, reflection, and Bible study.
- Attend installation Chapel services and volunteer leader meetings.
- Mentor one volunteer weekly to discuss their involvement and progress.
- Learn to recruit and train new leaders to build a diverse team.
- Assist with community outreach to unchurched teens and provide discipleship for believing students.
- Raise financial support and send monthly updates to your personal donor partners.
- Lead and equip volunteers for youth ministry activities.
What you'll need#
- High school graduation at least two years prior to the start date.
- A deep commitment to Christ and a desire to serve teens.
- Strong initiative and an energetic approach to ministry.
- Ability to communicate clearly and a teachable attitude.
- Experience or skills in planning small events.
- Commitment to a relational ministry approach.
- Willingness to raise a portion of your budget through personal support.
- Ability to live near the community where you serve.

- Compensation: This is a paid position, though you are responsible for raising a portion of your support.
