About the role#
Young Life Military offers an internship for individuals with a desire to serve teens in a military community. You will work alongside an experienced staff member to lead and oversee the Club Beyond program. This role focuses on building relationships with teens, modeling a personal example of faith, and creating a community where students can connect and build friendships. You will serve on-site at a military installation.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with supervising staff to review program goals and progress.
- Lead and participate in Club Beyond clubs and small group ministries.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan to foster your spiritual life.
- Attend Chapel on the installation and participate in volunteer leader meetings.
- Meet weekly with a volunteer to support their involvement in the ministry.
- Learn to recruit, train, and build a leadership team.
- Assist with community outreach and provide discipleship to teens.
- Communicate monthly updates to your personal donor partners.
- Discuss financial support goals with your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- High school graduation at least two years prior to the start date.
- A deep love for Christ and for teens.
- Strong initiative and a teachable heart.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Willingness to raise a portion of your budget through personal support.
- Commitment to a relational ministry approach.
- Energy and skills in small event planning.
- Majors in Sociology, Psychology, or Communications are relevant to the work.
Location & details#
- Location: Fort Stewart, Georgia.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
- The program runs on a rolling basis.
