About the role#
This position is for student staff in Central Jefferson County. You will serve as part of the Young Life mission, focusing on evangelism and discipleship. This role requires a commitment to the Young Life Statement of Faith and the ability to minister as a representative of the organization. You will work under the supervision of an area director to develop ministry skills and personal character.
What you'll do#
- Create a yearly personal growth plan to support your spiritual development.
- Recruit and train new leaders to build a strong team.
- Raise financial support and maintain consistent communication with donor partners.
- Engage in direct ministry, including club activities, discipleship, and camping strategies.
- Participate in leadership with a team for Young Life activities.
- Manage administrative tasks, including expense reports and office support.
- Adhere to all Young Life policies and maintain professional standards in conduct and time management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program, with a preference for majors such as Psychology, Communications, Philosophy, Sociology, or Nursing.
- Proven relational skills when working with both adolescents and adults.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- A personal belief in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
