About the role#
The Fall 2026 Mechatronics Intern will join the engineering team in Gardena, California. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship. The role offers the opportunity to work directly on humanoid robotics and contribute to company results.
What you'll do#
- Design and integrate electrical and mechanical systems.
- Work with humanoid robots in real deployments.
- Rapidly prototype and iterate designs based on changing requirements.
- Collaborate with software and simulation teams to meet project needs.
What you'll need#
- Experience with electromechanical systems or robotics.
- Excellent mechanical intuition regarding how systems move, fail, and improve.
- Proficiency with hand tools, system disassembly, assembly, and documentation.
- Skills in CAD software, specifically Fusion360, and embedded systems.
- Experience with KiCAD and the .urdf format.
- Familiarity with humanoid systems including BLDC actuators, CANbus, and lithium-based batteries.
- A portfolio or independent projects demonstrating end-to-end project management.

- Location: Gardena, California.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Compensation: $4,000 to $10,000 per month.
- Note: A housing stipend is provided, but relocation assistance is not available.
