AI-First Engineering Intern

About the role#

Xsolla is transitioning to an AI-first development model. This internship is designed for builders who want to contribute directly to internal AI initiatives and proof-of-concept builds using our APIs and SDKs. You will work alongside senior engineers and a global cohort of interns to ship production-grade code that reaches real users, rather than working on isolated projects.

What you'll do#

• Partner with senior engineers to identify and resolve friction points through AI tooling and integrations.
• Build applications on top of Xsolla's APIs and SDKs to demonstrate the potential of AI-assisted development.
• Ship functional code that is adopted by internal teams or external customers.
• Use agentic coding tools (such as Claude Code or Cursor) as your primary development workflow.
• Participate in weekly demo sessions to showcase your progress and share AI-driven solutions with the team.

What you'll need#

• Genuine passion for building, evidenced by side projects, hackathons, or open-source contributions.
• Real AI fluency with agentic coding tools, with the ability to explain your development process and verification methods.
• A bias toward action when faced with ambiguous problems.
• Comfort developing modern full-stack solutions.
• Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Communications.
