AI-First Engineering Intern

About the role#

Xsolla is transitioning to an AI-first development model and is seeking interns to drive this shift through hands-on building. This role focuses on two primary areas: developing internal AI initiatives to improve team efficiency and creating proof-of-concept applications using Xsolla's APIs and SDKs. You will work directly with senior engineers to produce production-grade, customer-facing code while collaborating with a global cohort of interns.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with senior engineers to identify and implement AI tooling integrations that reduce development friction.
• Build and maintain applications on top of Xsolla's APIs and SDKs to demonstrate AI-assisted development workflows.
• Ship functional code that reaches real users, including internal engineering teams or external game developers.
• Utilize agentic coding tools (such as Claude Code or Cursor) as your primary development environment.
• Participate in weekly lightning-talk demos to share your builds and exchange AI workflows with the team.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Statistics, or Cybersecurity.
• A genuine passion for building, demonstrated through side projects, hackathons, or open-source contributions.
• Demonstrated AI fluency, with experience using agentic coding tools to build and verify functional solutions.
• A bias toward action, with the ability to begin building solutions when presented with ambiguous problems.
• Comfort with developing modern full-stack solutions.
