About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Truck Driver Student. You will participate in a training program designed to help you earn your CDL-A and gain practical experience as an LTL Driver. This position is open to students with backgrounds in Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Attend training sessions to obtain your CDL-A license.
- Gain on-the-job experience working as an LTL Driver.
- Perform required vehicle inspections.
- Load and unload freight using a forklift when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation according to company and DOT policies.
- Follow all company safety procedures.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 21 years old.
- A valid state-issued driver's license held for at least 12 months.
- You must obtain a CDL-A permit before the first day of class.
- Pass a DOT drug test with no prior positive results or refusals in the last 3 years.
- Availability to work various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and evenings.
