About the role#
CHS Inc. is hiring a Drone Pilot Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship based in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. You will operate drones for bird mitigation and perform visual inspections on infrastructure to collect data for analysis. The role requires a set schedule that may include dawn, dusk, weekends, or weekdays, and you may travel to facilities in Louisiana and Texas.
What you'll do#
- Follow all FAA regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate flight schedules with location managers.
- Manage preflight, flight, and post-flight duties.
- Maintain daily flight logs.
- Upload and organize drone data.
- Perform basic maintenance to keep equipment functional.
What you'll need#
- FAA Part 107 UAS Certificate.
- Documented UAS work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Aviation experience.
- Photogrammetric experience, such as Pix4D or DroneDeploy.
- Experience with indoor inspections, specifically Flyability Elios.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
